Remote Support Initiation
Welcome to Remote Support Initiation. This page is for M*Modal clients who need advanced technical support related to M*Modal ASP or software products. Initiating a remote support session allows our technical staff to take full control of your Windows-based PC to solve advanced support issues.
To activate a remote control support session, you must first speak to an M*Modal technical support representative @ 1-888-DICTATE.
To allow the M*Modal technical support team access to your PC, you must temporarily install LANDesk® Instant Support Suite Pro. The program is automatically removed at the end of the session, so no one will have access to your machine. To initiate the remote support session:
- Click Here to download and run the LANDesk® Instant Support Suite Pro executable file
- If you are prompted to run or install LANDesk® Instant Support Suite Pro, respond Yes. If you are prompted to save the application, save it to a temporary directory such as C:\TEMP and run the file after it has downloaded.
- Once the application has started you will see a Enter user information window appear on your desktop. Fill in the requested user information as follows:
- Global Support Broker – Type remotecontrol.medquist.com
- User name – Type your name
- Email address – Type your email address
- Click the OK button after entering the above information.
- A LANDesk® Instant Support Client window will appear on your desktop.
- The Support Agent and Support Computer lines in this window will indicate when the M*Modal technical support representative has connected to your PC.
- At the conclusion of your technical support session click the Uninstall now button in the LANDesk® Instant Support Client window to uninstall the application.
