M*Modal Appoints New Sales EVP Mike Etue

Mike Etue has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Sales, effective Monday, October 1, 2012.
Franklin, TN – Sept 25, 2012 – M*Modal, a leading provider of clinical documentation and Speech Understanding solutions, today announced that Mike Etue has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Sales, effective Monday, October 1, 2012. Mr. Etue will be responsible for directing the company’s global sales initiatives and resources, including healthcare customer solutions across the company’s transcription services and advanced technology solutions.
Mr. Etue brings more than 40 years of healthcare experience and 30 years of HIS Sales and Sales Leadership to M*Modal. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Provider Markets for OptumInsight. Before that, Mr. Etue served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Misys Healthcare Systems, Inc. (unit acquired by Allscripts), where he led his sales teams in driving top line growth in the sale of practice management, EMR and transaction solutions within the ambulatory healthcare market. Prior to joining Misys in July 2007, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Eclipsys Corp., where he led customer support implementations, acute care sales, and key account relationships across the country and served as an officer of the company.
Mr. Etue has also led a variety of sales executive and management roles at SMS/Siemens Medical Systems and served in hospital administration at several hospitals, including Mercy Memorial Hospital, People’s Community Hospital and Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Detroit.
Mr. Etue replaces Michael Clark, who has left the company to pursue other business interests. During his more than 15 years with M*Modal and its predecessor companies, Mr. Clark held numerous senior leadership positions, most recently EVP of Sales.
